The HoD (M&S/Oprn), Coal India Limited (CIL), in reference to the decision taken by 407th CIL Board earlier regarding enhancement of normative requirement and subsequent enhancement in Annual Contracted Quantity (ACQ) for the power utilities, has released excerpts relevant to the above mentioned development.
The excerpts are as follows:
“In both the cases, the dispensation shall be extended for the year 2020-21 to the power plants who undertake to reduce the imports to the extent of the additional quantity of coal made available to them under these dispensations. These additional quantities shall be reckoned as quantity for meeting the import substitution plan.”
The HoD further added that the matter was placed before the SLC (LT) meeting held earlier for deliberation, and in reference of which, an MoC has clarified regarding the applicable period of time.
